Events Schedule

Most of our member clubs have their own leagues during the year and also participate, as a host, in both county and other leagues. The Federation sponsors a trap league every summer which shoots at all of our shooting clays clubs.

Most of our clubs also take part in leagues that extend

beyond Cortland County into neighboring counties.

2012 Winter League

McGraw has an eleven week winter league which features 16yd. Trap, skeet and possibly doubles trap.

It will start on Sunday, January 8th, 8am to 12pm. You will shoot two rounds of trap and/or skeet . You can shoot any one of the different offerings or all of them, your choice.

The first ten weeks will be open competition with week number 11 being the shoot off based on groups by average. You must shoot a minimum of 8 weeks to qualify for the shoot off.

Liberal shoot aheads and make-ups are available!

Hunter Safety Courses

First course of the year will be April 10,12 & 14th. at the McGraw Sportsmen's Club. Tuesday (10th) and Thursday (12th) will be from 6pm to 9pm. Saturday (14th) will be from 8am until completion which will be about 2-3pm. Class is limited to 20-25 people. Call Jerry Knapp at 607-849-3476 to sign up.

Second course will be help at Camp Owatha the first week it is open which is usually the July 4th weekend. It will be run for two days (Monday and Tuesday) starting at 9am until 3pm. Course is limited to 10-15 people. Call number listed above.

Third course will be back at McGraw Sportsmen's Club on Sept. 4,6 & 8th. Times will be the same as the first course listed and you must call to register.
